I think sometimes that I like Marc's paintings
because they look like you are viewing things
through a kaleidoscope or a stained glass window.
When in college studying art and photography,
I learned to view things in terms
not only of color, but also of lights and shadows.
Different light, in different conditions, can have
many varied colors. I love the way this painting shows
how beautiful the refraction of light
can be when filtered through the trees.
