I find it interesting that even in the absence of brilliant color,
Marc still manages to convey the dynamism of the moment
and the animals.
Perhaps this is what is so arresting to me about his work
- he learned early how to use light and shadow to
make a statement, rather than relying strictly upon color.
This is a talent that you will find in many excellent
photographers today.
